People care deeply about stray animals, whether it's out of love or fear. Yet there are over populations of stray dogs, cats and other animals all over the world. Governments are not motivated to correct this issue, and certainly not in a humane way. It's time some rich guy stepped up.
I was at my favorite park, Charles Klor, where I often played frisbee with random Jews and Arabs. And, of course, my dog, Naya. Charles Klor is a place where different cultures converge. It splits Jaffa and Tel Aviv propper. Across from it is a large mosque, and it’s common to see people break Ramadan in the park after. Today, the city was setting up stations, stages and more, for a Women’s Run. Workers aside, it was empty. Tons of room for my dog and I to play. As my beautiful, fluffy girl ran from bird flock to bird flock, all I could of was our mutual bliss. Unadulterated by thoughts of work obligations and life stresses.
“Life is a very difficult exam. Many people are failing because they want to copy from others. Not realizing, everyone has a different (question) paper. HAIBLBLBLBLBL!”
Me, “Why?”
Them, “Fuck you for asking!”
Russian authoritarians are already acting to remove social media and similar tools from Russian states. They know the damage that will come if US simply had Facebook add a banner demanding protest in Saint Petersburg and Moscow. Massive corporations like Meta and Twitter are not Nato or US. Rather, they are an amazing tool we will soon lose. The US needs to be creative to act without the reprecussions of shooting missiles on Russian or Ukranian soil. Time is of the essence.
I’ve lost count of how many times I was told “I bet you voted Biden” and “I bet you voted Trump.”
We dont need to have the same comfort assessing our peers in an office as deciding who gets control of nuclear arms. It doesn’t make sense to treat them the same.
