Dave Chappelle is a little bitch

French magazine Charlie Hebdo made fun of Islam. On three occasions, this prompted a series of horrific, worldwide terrorist attacks. While one of the attacks, orchestrated by terrorist org. al-Qaeda, focused on the magazine itself, dozens of other attacks affected people unrelated to Hebdo. Jews were once again a scapegoat of others' actions. In the aftermath of these “dangerous jokes" [/s], Turkish Islamist, Pakistani Islamist, Palestinian and other papers joined terror groups al-Qaeda, Taliban, Boko Haram and ISIL of Iraq and Palestine, to praise those who showed violence in the face of parody. I'm raising this well known, recent history to make a case -- Dave Chappelle is a little bitch.

Dave Chapelle was once a great comedian. Not that my opinion matters to him! His precise wording and delivery was reminiscent of the prolific Malcolm X. Both were Muslim orators who gave phenomenal speeches focused on the black struggle, esp in the US, albeit with different styles and intent. While Malcolm X was critical of his own religion, famously criticizing the Nation of Islam, Dave Chappelle has never once uttered a word about Islam. After all, he’s a little bitch.

This isn’t a rant about whether poking fun of religion is acceptable. I find the Jewish beliefs in talking snakes and a talking burning bush as bizarre as beliefs in Buraq, a flying donkey used to help with distance-based plot holes in our ‘sequel’ book. This rant is more about how I can say the first half of that last sentence without worrying for my life. After all: 1. I’m a Jew, poking fun at the religion 2. To my knowledge, Jews have never murdered someone over a joke. We whined, but don’t resort to violence. However, joking about the Buraq beast would never be televised. So people like Chappelle avoid this danger.

While Chappelle does all he can to categorize himself as edgy, prepared to “say what others can’t,” he is correctly criticized for his focus on groups he’s not a part of. This is called “punching down." Punching down is about feeling superior to an Other by poking fun of them.

In 2021, Chappelle released “The Closer" prompting a wave of claims that Dave is transphobic. The common rebuttal was that Chappelle wasn’t transphobic, he makes jokes about everyone. “He even had a trans friend. Sure, she committed suicide, but clearly Dave doesn’t feel remorse over any of his punching down. So it’s OK!” [/s] At the risk of being labeled transphobic myself, after dating trans women and having thoughts of being gender fluid, I could excuse these insensitive remarks on one condition: Dave had to make fun of cis-gendered too. He didn’t. Though there’s many jokes to be told on the straight cis.

In the same comedy special, Chappelle made a joke evoking the trope of “Space Jews.” In this joke, Dave claims Jews were slaves turned slave owners. He alludes that Jews have conquered and controlled Earth. Because Jews don’t count, these comments were largely unnoticed. The Jews who complained were told to stop being such whiny Jews, and the focus was kept on the trans community.

Truly, who knows if Dave’s slavery comments were in reference to Palestine or some Farrakhan, Black Israelite, lame conspiracy about US slave trade being driven by Jews. Either way, it is nonsense. Either way, Dave will never sincerely apologize to the groups he’s punched down on. Dave sees punching down as self-defense. Why? Because he knows if he punched up at the world’s largest religions, he’d have to wear a Kevlar.

I can write at length to show the disproportionality of Jews to Muslims as slave owners, in the US and abroad. The tl;dr is there were not even 0.1% as many Jewish slave owners as Catholic slave owners or Muslim slave owners. Claims like ‘75% of Jewish families in Charleston, SC, Richmond, VA and Savannah, GA owned slaves’ can easily be refuted. We’re talking about a choice to hyperfocus on a dozen families instead of Millions of non-slave owning Jews, and Millions of slave-owning Muslims. Sure, one Jewish slave owner is too much! But nobody can tell me that a few dozen families in the 18th century should be examined before the more than 50 MILLION slaves of today, nearly all owned by Islamists. If someone ignores that Mauritania has an estimate of 90,000 slaves, TODAY, or that Qatar used slave-like labor to build FIFA stadiums, but rants about 18th century Jews, their reason is clear. To continue with modern slave examples would miss the point -- it doesn’t make sense to criticize a whole religion for actions of some. So I’ll repeat, Chappelle has never commented on rampant slave trade in Islam, and yet, has no issues suggesting Jews are slave owners who control Hollywood. Because Dave Chappelle is a little bitch.

Dave Chappelle wasn’t always a little bitch. He used to, you know, write his jokes before he went on stage. They were hilarious jokes. More hilarious than Nick Cannon! But now he improvises a lame, race-baiting, stream of consciousness, then demands his audience laugh. He has become beyond entitled. Dave is truly, and I can’t emphasize this enough, a little bitch. Dave used to roll up to Ben's Chili Bowl, other black owned businesses, and small comedy clubs unannounced. Now he rolls with security guards and a posse of protection to a select few high-key spots, in case someone verbally or physically attacks him (for being a little bitch).

I’ll always admire Chappelle's early works. Killing Them Softly was great. Like MJ, I can separate the art from the artist. But Dave Chappelle is a chump. And even more so, he is a little bitch.
