Yes, one of the points of this blog is to focus on original angles rather than endlessly rehash the same stories. We have social media for ruminating. So, this post is a bit redundant. I have written about IsraellyCool. I have covered the “As a Jew” groups that exist for losers to get together and oppose Jewish self-determination while applauding their hate. I still need to hit publish on a year old article about a literal Nazi I went to University with promoting JVP.
Still, this case deserves attention because it exposes just how hollow these groups really are. They’re simply not Jewish.
The pattern is familiar by now. People who rarely engage with Jewish life suddenly discover their Jewish identity when it can be weaponized. Their Judaism is not expressed through community, language, or tradition, but through public shaming of other Jews. It is not identity as continuity or responsibility, but identity as a political costume.
We have seen it with the lies of shit comedian Adam Friedland, who’s stories are so blatantly untrue Jews and Arabs alike could go, “Yeah, that didn’t happen.” We saw it with Hannah Einbeinder wearing an inverted red cross, as if to say, “Yes, we wear Nazi symbols. Don’t question it.” We saw it with Ilana Glazer, the lady who made her entire fame around the premise that Jews have IBS, only to reveal she grew up going to Sunday School. And more importantly, we see it over and over with factual and cultural errors of groups like JVP, who’s so-called activists cannot identify basic Jewish tradition or read elementary Hebrew. These mistakes reveal how detached these people are from Jewish society.
Like all Jew hating groups, the Jewish Council of Australia (JCA) is obsessed with lists of Jews. Lists are great for noticers, giving a visual impression of numbers and authority. Non-noticers may pick up on the fact that JCA is so removed from Jewish communal reality that it did not notice its own list included joke names, crude references, and even the names of infamous Nazi collaborators. Which makes sense when you remember they’re not Jews.
JCA, like JVP, are people who show up to synagogues only to protest their existence. They’re Jew-hater funded groups.
Also, it’s worth noting that President Herzog was extremely pro-Palestine. Like Ezra Klein, Norman Finkelstein, and the other AAJ defending Palestine, it doesn’t matter. An AAJ is a Jew, is a Jew, to “Free Free Publicity.”
The story was exposed by lawyer David Lange, aka IsraellyCool, who has spent years documenting exactly this kind of performative dishonesty. Lange is an Australian institution. Lange attracts an extraordinary amount of hate. Recently, a post attacking him earned me a month-long Facebook ban after I responded to an Australian jihadist insisting Lange was Israeli and therefore deserved to be murdered. On Meta’s platforms, people can call for the murder of Jews, don’t just respond that they’re violent pigs.

Jewish Council of Australia’s ‘1,000 Jews’ Ad is a Fraudulent Fail

Israeli President Isaac Herzog is in Australia for his solidarity visit with the Australian Jewish community. But not before the haters tried to have the visit cancelled.
Haters including the Jewish Council of Australia (JCA), who took out a full page ad in the Age and the Sydney Morning Herald:
You may recall that the JCA is the shady group pretending to represent Australian Jews, while only representing an extremist fringe of Israel-hating ones. It was recently reported they teamed up with a Hezbollah-linked group and a Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated network to demand that the Australian government deny President Herzog a visa. Their head, Sarah Schwartz, has herself dabbled in antisemitic tropes, and it is highly doubtful all of their members are even Jewish.
The JCA are claiming “over 1000 Jews” signed the petition:

Even if this is true, there are around 120,000 Jews in Australia. So this would represent a paltry 0.83% of them.
But even that amount is a bridge too far for them.
You see, there are only 687 names on the list. And the JCA previously admitted to only “hundreds” of names, not a thousand:
So they are lying to inflate the already puny number.
But it gets worse. Anyone – not just Jews – could sign the petition:

which might indicate that only Jewish Australians appear in the final ad, and the addition of non-Jews later was just to brag about, as they did in the caption to the post.
But I highly doubt this. In fact, a look at the names appearing on the petition show a disproportionate amount that do not look like Jewish names at all. You can click on the first image in this post and magnify it to see for yourselves. But here’s a sample I prepared; the highlighted names being those most likely to be not Jewish:
More than that, one name is clearly a successful trolling attempt:

So, to recap: we have a group that can’t count, can’t vet, and apparently can’t read Hebrew. They don’t speak for Australian Jews. They don’t even come close. And while President Herzog meets a community that actually represents Jewish Australia, the JCA is left with nothing but a full-page ad with some creative accounting and a literal ‘Ass Licker.’

Well then. Who would have guessed that one of these “AAJ” groups opposed to Jewish self-determination would publish people’s names without their consent? Oh right. Every genuine Jewish ally. We have been saying this for over a decade. These Jew haters, whether or not they have any real connection to Jewish tradition or Jewish ethnicity, operate without moral restraint. They’re selfish and evil people.
While Isaac Herzog is openly pro-Palestinian, the insistence by his haters that he is unwelcome in Australia is simply another reminder of why Israel exists in the first place. If Australia, the UK, and Europe decide to rid themselves of Jews under the banner of “Free Palestine… from Jews,” those Jews need somewhere to go. Israel is that place.
People should look at post–Bondi massacre protests that openly defend the murderers and recognize them as pure evil. When Jews are murdered, people protest on behalf of the attackers. But that is not enough. So they also fabricate Jewish affiliations to make their calls for violence more palatable. When that still is not enough, they turn on any Jew at all, including pro-Palestine Jews. And when even that fails, they resort to fake names, joke entries, and the misuse of real people’s identities to falsely legitimize a movement built on hatred. It is fraud and cowardice, aka Free Palestine.
