You likely have heard “Zionists are banned from Palestine” as a justification for Palestinian terrorism, such as the recent murders of religious, Jewish teenage women. Like most claims coming from the #FreePalestine cult, this claim is a lie. Believe it or not, there are no laws jailing people based on Zionism or other philosophical beliefs. Today, there are laws banning non-Arabs, based on hate for Jews. These laws directly stem from laws that specified “Jews,” though some championing these laws will never admit it.

From 1948-1967 Jordan controlled what the cult refers to as the “West Bank.” Jordan enacted laws that explicitly denied Jews the right to own property or reside in Jordan, which included East Jerusalem. Jewish holy sites were also off-limits to Jews during this time. There was never any semblance of religious freedom in this region, except under Israeli control. Jordanian laws did not mention “Zionists” once, nor an “Arab Palestine,” a term popularized in the 1960’s through KGB propaganda in Egypt and Arab states.

In 1973, the Palestinian Authority imposed martial law, and banned non-Arabs from buying land, punishable by death or life imprisonment. From this point on, ~2M+ Arabs enjoyed full rights in Israel, while risking imprisonment and death for expressing those same rights under Palestinian leadership. There is no mention of the word “Zionist” in these laws. Even with the aid of Chat GPT 4 and Google, I was unable to find even a single example of these PA laws applying to an Arab who sold property to a non-Jew. The PA had effectively banned “Jews,” but had the same foresight as the #FreePalestine movement to disguise it with rhetoric.

In 1988, the Hamas Charter was written. In Article 7, the Palestinian leadership rant about an Islamic hadith talking about the need for Muslims to kill Jews in the end times. This hedith was written 1000+ years before Zionism was coined, and is regularly parrotted on social media in the context of Israel-Palestine. Hamas Charter also alleges that Jews, not Zionists, control the media, financial institutions, and political movements, taken directly from the Protocols of the Elders of Zion. The charter repeats that Jews are the enemy of Islam. It remains part of Gaza law.

Despite easily obtainable facts, so-called Palestine supporters will insist “Zionists are banned.” As I’ve written before, it is a sadly successful attempt to distinguish Existentialist French from French, Constitutionalist Americans from Americans and Zionist Jews from Jews. They know deep down who they are speaking about.

I have seen this ludicrous support of laws banning Jews from Arab controlled cities many times, half with the disclaimer “but I’m not antisemetic!” and half from honest people. Typically, such nonsense is kept to TikTok and Instagram, where children who do not know any better can be swayed. I expected it less on a professional network, where people should have the reasoning skills to read the subtext.

Above is a screenshot of a LI reply by “Maree Campbell.” “She” is attempting to expose the criminality of a fifteen year old Jewish girl who was murdered by Palestinian terrorist. To be clear, “Maree” is not bothered by (illegal) murder. Instead, she insists the Jewish girls living in the wrong city, ie “Israeli colonists,” “OTP” and other terms that deflect from their Jewish-ness, is the serious crime we should care about. Her take is akin to an ethical standing that an American murdering an illegal Mexican is acceptable.

“Maree” claims to be an “antizionist, not anti-semite.” After many patient Jews responded that she is trying to justify the murder of Jews, I took a look at her website to see who they’re talking to. I will end this rant screenshots of every article this “antizionist not antisemite” posted in just a few days. That includes emphasis that American Jewish groups like the ADL are controlling the media. You can decide whether she means “Zionist” or “Jew” yourself.l You can also decide how to classify such an obsession. But spoiler, you will not find any evidence that “Zionists" are the ones banned from Palestine, as Maree repeated over and over, nor that 15 year olds are in IDF, nor any explanation (other than antisemitism) why she sympathizes more with the murderers of Jews than Jewish victims.

The dangers of the cult’s false narrative has been apparent, especially among tourists who fall victim to such lies. In MENA it’s known that all foreigners are not welcomed into PA or Hamas controlled territories. Elsewhere, only those connected to this situation seem aware of this. Indian volunteers in Gaza have repeatedly expresssed conerns over their safety, especially after being criticized for practicing yoga in the Islamist Gaza state. Recently, two Germans made the deathly mistake of entering PA controlled territory without being Arab. They were fed this lie — Zionists are banned — and unfortunately lacked the critical reasoning skills to realize laws tend to not involve ideological beliefs.

The German victims who were attacked by so-called Maree’s so-called “freedom fighters” (translation: “Free from progressive values”) expressed repeatedly that they thought non-Zionists are safe in Palestine. They’re not.

So why would anyone endanger lives with such a lie? An easy answer is money. While they scream hasbara at people like me, who want a safe state for Jews and Arabs alike, they put paywalls on their websites, in hopes to profit. Billions were embezzled by Arab leaders, though these high-earning sites ignore it.

The reality the cult will never admit is that plenty of non-Zionist Jews are persecuted in Palestine. The non-Zionist Jews, including the extremists she would call “settlers,” who frequently do not recognize the Israeli state, are no safer because of their non-Zionistic beliefs. They are still Jews to those committing terrorism.

Millions of Arab Zionists may buy land and/or already live in Palestine. That includes the 77% of (2M+) Arab Israelis who prefer Israeli rule, making them explicitly qualify as Zionists under some definitions, as well as the Zionist Arab Palestinians, who invite IDF into their homes.

Zionists are welcome to Palestine… so long as they are not associated with a Star of David.
